Ridgewood High School is proud to offer its students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. Students can enroll in either dual credit or dual enrollment courses during their high school career.
Triton Campus Dual Credit
What is Dual Credit?
- For specific classes, students can earn BOTH Ridgewood High School Credit as well as credits at Triton College.
- You take the class AT RHS with your RHS Teacher.
- Credit is awarded on BOTH your Ridgewood and Triton Transcript.
Application Process for Dual Credit
Step 1: Complete the Dual Credit Application on paper or online* at https://triton.elluciancrmrecruit.com/Admissions/Pages/createaccount.aspx
*if completing the application online, choose the following when prompted:
Fall 2020 for entry term
Undergraduate for academic level
Dual Credit/ Dual Enrollees for academic program
Step 2: Take the Triton Placement Test (Accuplacer). You may also test at Triton College at your convenience. The placement test can be waived with ACT test scores of 20 and/ or SAT scores of 480 in English & Writing and ACT scores of 22 and/or SAT scores of 530 in Math. Go to www.triton.edu/placementtesting for more information.

DUAL ENROLLMENT
What is Dual Enrollment?
- For specific classes, students can earn transferable college credit at Triton College.
- You take the class at Triton with a Triton Teacher.
- The tuition cost is paid by the district upon successful completion of the course. If the student earns a D or drops or fails the course, all costs associated will become the responsibility of the student's family.
Application Process for Dual Enrollment
Step 1: Complete the Application & Enrollment Verification forms. The application can be completed both on paper or online* at https://triton.elluciancrmrecruit.com/Admissions/Pages/createaccount.aspx

Step 2: Take the Placement Test at Triton College. The placement test can be waived with ACT test scores of 20 and/ or SAT scores of 480 in English & Writing and ACT scores of 22 and/or SAT scores of 530 in Math. Go to www.triton.edu/placementtesting for more information.
Step 3: Contact the Office of Dual Credit to register. You must set up an appointment with the Office of Dual Credit at Triton in order to enroll in a course. Contact information for registration is:

Step 4: Pick up Course Materials. The Office of Dual Credit will enroll you in the course of your choice and assist you in obtaining your text books and materials. Stop by room F-210 for your book voucher (if applicable).

Step 5: Get your Triton College Student ID. The last step to becoming a Dual Credit Triton Campus Student is to pick up your Triton ID! Student ID’s will be taken at the Welcome Center six days a week. You must be enrolled in class to receive a photo ID.
