About
All are welcome to be a part of Drama Club. The club supports fundraisers and activities that help students to participate in a number of experiences related to theatre including a musical, a competition piece, the Illinois High School Theatre Festival, a Variety Show, student directed one-act plays, and more.
Benefits
Drama Club hosts a student award and induction ceremony at the end of each school year. Awards include best lead in a major or minor role, best at running crew, best at costumes, best dancer and so on. In addition, students are encouraged to participate on both sides of production (acting and technical) in order to become eligible to join the International Thespian Troupe and be a member of our troupe 66662. Scholarships, graduation honors, leadership opportunities, and recognition for the hours of work in the theatre are just some of the benefits associated with membership in the Society.
Events
Fall musical, spring play, student directed one acts, variety show, IHSA group interpretation, fundraisers, field trips, and overnight stays for theatre festivals.
