In the video above, there is information on how to send donations to the Joseph Portanova Scholarship Fund. We wanted to share this information in case you would like to donate. 

 

You can send money through Venmo to: @Giovanna-Gianfortone, code 9674. Giovanna is also collecting cash or checks and Colleen Poull (at the front desk at RHS) is collecting cash donations as well. Ms. Gianfortone is also selling $1 bracelets in her classroom. 

 

Monday, April 12

  • Advisory: Advisors preview the week with students.
  • Staff PD: Social workers and Student Services interns will present general information about adolescent mental health, the day-by-day plan for MHAW Advisory activities, and invite people to breakout rooms to crowdsource implementation ideas.

 

Tuesday, April 13

  • Advisory:  Advisors show a recorded student presentation on teen mental health and debrief with provided questions.
  • Office Hours: Help is Here! Open Zoom with Social Workers/interns for any students who need support.

Wednesday, April 14

  • Advisory:  Advisors will choose and implement an activity focused on Pandemic-specific Mental Health.
  • Office Hours:  Help is Here! Open Zoom with Social Workers/interns for any students who need support. 
  • Advisors can facilitate a discussion on how COVID-19 has caused different feelings amongst all of us, including feelings of disappointment due to having to adjust our expectations. You can use the PDF below as a reference point for discussion. 

 

Thursday, April 15

  • Advisory: Advisors will choose and implement an activity focused on Equity in Mental Health.
  • Office Hours: Help is Here! Open Zoom with Social Workers/interns for any students who need support. 
  • Thursday Activity
    • Students will have the option of participating in an experiential workshop/discussion designed to support and explain protective factors that support mental health and overall well being. 

 

Friday, April 16

  • Advisory: Advisors will choose and implement an activity focused on Coping Skills.
  • Office Hours: Help is Here! Open Zoom with Social Workers/interns for any students who need support.
