Working well under pressure has paid off for Ridgewood High School senior, Taylor Peterman, who earned a perfect score on the SAT. Not only did Peterman score a perfect score on the SAT, but she scored a near-perfect score of a 35 on the ACT.

This was the third time Peterman had taken the SAT before landing a 1600 on the test. To prepare for the SAT this time around, she used a variety of study materials and methods; ranging from practice tests to watching YouTube videos of people solving the problems in real time.

Peterman gave a strong piece of advice for fellow students preparing to take the test, “Practice as much as possible. I couldn't have done this if I hadn’t put in the work for it. I used lots of resources. I didn’t study blindly; I tried to study the stuff I was consistently making mistakes on.”

As for her post-high school career, the sky’s the limit for Peterman and she's keeping her options open. She is currently looking at colleges, but she is trying to find the perfect fit for her by visiting as many schools as possible.

Peterman has many interests and is heavily involved on campus. She is involved with DECA, Link Crew, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Garden Club, Interact, Class Council and Student Council. All of these factors and a perfect SAT score will make Peterman an ideal candidate for her dream school.

Hard work has proven to pay off for this Rebel and she truly earned it.
