On Thursday, April 25, the Career Pathways in Education went and toured University of Chicago. They met with Professor Miller to learn more about teaching at the collegiate level. After the tour, our students went to Northeastern Illinois University to participate in a Power Hour. Power Hour is a chance for future teachers to get together to learn more about the education profession and tools that can be used in the class.

Students who select to follow the Career Pathway in Education program at Ridgewood will receive an Illinois State endorsement, college credit and teacher observation hours that they can apply toward their education degree in college. By taking this sequence of courses, students will be way ahead of their peers in college.
